^{Adrienne Lyric (A. Lyric)} is a singer, songwriter, actor and poet. Though she has been writing since she was eight years old, this is her first poetry chapbook. The creation of this chapbook has been an intense emotionally charged rediscovery of words, fluidity and simplicity for A. Lyric, she never settles for what just sounds good, but is constantly working towards greatness. Inserting multiple elements into each piece (rhythm, sound, aesthetic, authenticity and compassion) to simultaneously create the whole; she immerses herself in the process. First published at the age of 13 in her Junior High School yearbook, she has always aspired to publishing a collection of her work. Through her diverse forms of expression she touches the soul and grazes the heart.

Her acting credits include; I Lost My Heart in Haiti (The Producers Club), A Season In the Congo (Lion Theatre @ Theatre Row) and An Elevated Christmas (Manhattan Repertory Theatre), Pippin as The Leading Player and The Wiz. She also had several roles in the Hunter College production of the Vagina Monologues and will be a part of the production again in March 2011. She performed in The Blues According to Langston Hughes (a musical tribute to Langston Hughes) as part of The Metropolitan Playhouse Harlem Renaissance Festival and played Debbie in Barn Razing at Lehman Colleges Studio Theatre.

A. Lyric moves audiences with her eclectic Jazz, Blues, Funk and R&B style. With numerous songs written and recorded she has performed at several open mics in N.Y including, Nola's Lounge, Suga Bar and SHRINE in Harlem. She is constantly recording new material and the video for her popular song “Waiting 4 U” can currently be seen on you tube. She was interviewed for Bronxnet's UGNY T.V on channel 68 and has appeared on Bronxnet's Open.
