Inside God's Chrysalis by Canden Webb
*Now Available!
Canden C. Webb was born on June 1st 1984 in Los Angeles, Ca. Though her father was periodically present during the early years of her life, she spent her adolescent years raised by her mother and grandmother, two loving women with opposite personalities but equally wise perspectives. It was from their positive influence that she gained a foundation rooted in spirituality, wisdom, and good old common-sense. As a child,
Canden attended West Angeles Church of God and Christ, the church where her
grandmother had been a member for many years. There at a very young age, she
discovered her natural love for God and how He manifested Himself through
people. Though rarely physically alone thanks to her two siblings and social network of friends, Canden maintained an introverted personality throughout her pre-pubescent years. In high school, she was a bit of an outsider and like many young girls struggled with insecurities and self-assurance. It wasn’t until 2006 when she was introduced to a local poetry venue called Da Lounge in West Los Angeles that she discovered the true power of human expression through art. In a few short months after that first experience poetry became her therapy. All the emotion she couldn’t freely express before started to take form in her poems. Inside God’s Chrysalis is Canden’s first poetry release. It is comprised of lessons learned, love shared, conviction, courage, and personal revelation that everyone can relate to. Inspired by her own journey towards self-liberation and freedom in Christ, it is a personal view of abundant life. Currently, Canden is enrolled at historic Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her long-term goals include inspirational speaking specifically aimed at young women and various entrepreneurial endeavors. Armed with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a love for people, an intent full of God-ordained purpose and a new sense of confidence, she plans to impact the world in a way that defies human-imposed limits.
