Jaz gives the first fruits of her lips to the writer of her soul, Jesus Christ her Lord. Jaz is a singer, published poet and songwriter from Philadelphia, Pa. She studied musical theater and impressionistic painters at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, PA. Her poems have appeared in various publications including Westward Quarterly, Philly Cypher, Ascent Aspirations, WriterBlocks,Literary House Review and in Moonstone's "The 12th Annual Poetry Ink Chapbook". She placed 2nd in the 2008 Eleventh Biannual Poetry Card Contest for Blue Mountain Arts. Her most recent publication was in the 2010 Fall Edition of Apiary Magazine. Jaz ministers in song and poetry at many venues in Philadelphia and around the region. She is a woman who laughs often but has learned to embrace her tears as well.
